County Fair 2009

The fair was just what it should be ... lots of food, rides, and animals! The girls were even able to pet a cow and a bunny! As you can tell from some of the pictures, Kathryn was feeling a little spicy towards the beginning of the evening! :) Overall we all had a great time!

27 Weeks, 2 Days

So with 84 days left until our little guys birthday (well at least his scheduled c-section date), we were able to get another glimpse of him! Oddly enough it is 4 months exactly since we first saw him on Kevin's birthday.
He is still measuring really big, 90th - 92nd percentile to be exact. He is about 2lbs 14oz already!
I was most excited to find out what I have been battling for rib space already! Yep.... you guessed it ...his hiney! He LOVES to stick his butt under my ribs already! I can only imagine what it will be like in 10 weeks!

Tonsils and Adenoids ... Oh My... The Surgery!

Well we are less several unneeded body parts! Both girls did great during the surgery. Kathryn's surgery took about 35 minutes, and when Dr. Arjmand came out he said that her tonsils and adenoid were really really big. Caroline was next up. Her surgery took about 45 minutes. She had one small (and rare) complication. When they took her tubes out, there was a hole in her ear drum. So Dr. Arjmand put a foam on it to try and get the skin to grow together. We have to go back for a recheck in 3 weeks and then if it is not healing she will need another surgery but not until she is 6 or 7. Surprising to us was that Carolines tonsils and adenoids were bigger than her sisters!

These are some pictures from their 23 hour hospital stay. They look so pathetic. I promise they look so much better already. I will take some more pictures so you all can see!

So the next week or so is going to be filled with popsicles, jello and lots of fluids!

Tonsils and Adenoids...Oh My!!

We found out last Thursday that both girls were going to be getting their tonsils and adenoids removed on Wednesday! Both were very enlarged - what they call "kissing tonsils"! These are some pictures from the night before. Nana came over and helped give them a bath and get them ready for bed. I tried to get some of their tonsils so the girls could see what they looked like!

4th of July!

For the fourth of July this year we went to the Lebanon Parade and watched from my office - complete with air conditioning. Then we had a cookout at our good friends the Frankenburgs. It was great to see all our friends!

Preview of the "Little Man's" Room

So our little man's room is almost complete, just a couple more finishing touches. (Please don't look at the non-ironed bedding yet either!) I wanted to post these so some of my favorite people in the world could see them!! We miss you Gigi and Gigi Grandpa!! Love you lots!
