Had to share this picture of my parents cat! I thought it was comical. Her name is Corona, we call her Rona for short. She is the cat that adopted my parents and then had kittens the morning Mom was going to take her to the shelter. Needless to say two years later she is still there, and very loved!

First Day of School! Pre-K (year 2)
Today is the first day of school for the girls! They are doing Pre-K again this year. Kevin and I decided that we really wanted to wait a year before sending them off to kindergarten. That way they aren't starting college at 17.
The new adventure for this year is new teachers and ... the biggest change... separate classrooms! I think it will be really good for them to be apart some and develop their own identities. They still have recess and bathroom breaks together so they will still see each other during school. They have never really been very dependant on one another but rather they like to know the other is close by. The first morning was easy- no tears, and no drama! Just like grown up girls, kinda broke Mommy and Daddy's hearts a bit. Our babies are growing up so fast!!

Morgan's Birthday Party... and Pony Rides!
The girls were lucky enough to be invited to their friend Morgan's birthday party today. Morgan's older brother, Caleb, was in their Pre-K class last year, and the girls have missed them dearly over the summer!
Morgan had a pony themed birthday. It was adorable! The biggest surprise of the afternoon - real live ponies!! It was fantastic! The girls LOVED it. They were so into the horses. It actually amazed Kevin and I how they had no fear of them at all. They both walked right up and started petting them! Not only did they get to ride both horses multiple times, they also were able to feed the horses carrots! It was a wonderful afternoon and the girls have not stopped talking about it. Both of them want to go and play with the horses again - maybe riding lessons are in our future?
My view of Kathryn - oh and our little man!! :)
Caroline on her first of many rides! This horses name was Majestic.

Build A Bear Workshop
We took the girls do do Build-A-Bear a week or so ago. They had so much fun. They loved picking out their "bears" and the outfits for them to wear. Kathryn picked out a bunny and Caroline wanted the patriotic bear. Here are some pictures from our afternoon!

Racing in Kentucky
Kevin and I had a "date night" of sorts when we went to the Meijer Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway. We were lucky to have suite tickets, so we had Kevin's Dad and my Mom come with us. My Dad, brother and brother's girlfriend, Jessica, all went as well but had grandstand seats. I have to admit I was very thankful for the suite since it was air conditioned and had comfy seats - two necessities when you're seven months pregnant!
We had a great time, and Kevin is already talking about taking the girls with us next year!
Lots of fun!
Kevin and I
