Pumpkin Patch!

So much to the delight of my family (insert sarcasm here) I decided that we were going to go out to the pumpkin patch today. Truthfully, and I think they will agree, it turned out to be a great afternoon. The weather was great and the fields were soggy, but not horrible, considering all the rain this past week. The part I think that had everyone on edge is that you have to take a 5-10 minute hayride out to the actual pumpkin fields and back. Thankfully I knew one of the guys driving the wagons, (never know when and old Pizza Hut friend will pop up) and he went very slow on the bumpy parts! The girls had a great time and I am really glad we got to go out as a family. (Okay, you're right I just didn't want to miss it!) Here are some pictures....

5 Days!

So hard to believe our newest family member will be here in 5 days! So far we have had 2 false labor runs...little stinker, he is. I have now set my mind to the fact that he isn't coming out unless forced....

So lovely...

"Okay - now lets really see it without the sweater in the way" Yep DIRECT quote from Kevin, the photographer! Love him!

Separate Parties?

Separate parties? What is this topic all about I am sure you are wondering.
Well.... as a mother of twins, you always know there will come a day when one twin gets invited somewhere and the other doesn't. It's only logical. They are different people, with different friends, and different interests. Well, I am proud to say we had our "first" of what I am sure will be many of these occurrences and everyone did great!
Kathryn was invited to a birthday party for a little boy in her class and Caroline wasn't. (Duh of course, she wouldn't be!) So I explained to Caroline it was for a new friend of Kathryn's in her class and that's just how things work - sometimes Kathryn will be invited and she won't and visa versa. She was completely cool with it, and spent the time instead going on a special lunch date with Nana and visiting me at my office! Just another milestone this year ... sort of breaks my heart!

And of course, Miss Rachel was wonderful and took Kathryn to her party, and even snapped a couple of pictures....
