5 Year Check-Up

The girls went to the pediatrician yesterday for their 5 year check ups. I had told them that they would be getting shots (only when they asked!), however, since their little brother is still taking up residence in my belly, they got a reprieve until he is born.
(Apparently two of the vaccines are "live" and they didn't want to give it to them with me still being pregnant) So we will have to go back at the end of October for the shots.

Here are their "stats":
Caroline
43.5" tall
43.5 lbs (She's my little "square" :)

Kathryn
43.5" tall
40 lbs

Both are in the 75% for height. Caroline is the 75% for weight, Kathryn is in the 55%.
Just amazing to me considering they highest they have been % is in the 50% (from ages 2-4)for height since they were born . They have really grown in the past year - it's their Daddy's tall genes coming out!

Five Year Pictures!!

Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic!

Disney On Ice is in town through Sunday and of course the girls wanted to go. They loved the show! Caroline wanted to know why all the other princesses were there but not Sleeping Beauty. She came to the conclusion that she "must be on vacation"! I thought that was hysterical! Kathryn's favorite part was the Incredibles. So much fun!

20 Days!

Only 20 days to go! (Please keep in mind... This picture was taken at 11pm when I had just gotten home from the opening night of Disney On Ice in Cincy. LONG DAY!!!)

One Month!

Hard to believe - one month till our little guy arrives. As you can see from the picture, he isn't so little nor am I. We had an ultrasound on Thursday and he is already over 6lbs, and has the cutest little chubby cheeks! Hopefully I can post some of the pictures soon.

So we did a circus theme for the girls 5th Birthday. I figured I better sneak it in since they probably won't want a circus when they're 10. (Hey who knows though - right?) Anyway, the big Circus bash was out at Nana and Papa's house. Here are some pictures from us getting ready!

Happy 5th Birthday!

So our baby girls are 5 now!! So hard to believe. I know everyone says "it goes by so fast' but honestly I wish I could just freeze time for a couple years. I miss them being little. Now they seem like such grown up girls! I would give anything to just be able to hold them again - that seems to only happen now if they are sick or hurt. Which as a parent you certainly don't hope for. Otherwise they are too busy to slow down and let Mom hold them. Don't get me wrong, I am so incredibly proud of the girls they have become. They are both so smart, really funny, and of course beautiful. I can honestly say it is a honor to be their Mommy. Sometimes I look at them and wonder how they are mine! I love them more than life!!
So enough of my gushing... These are some pictures from our "family party" as they put it, which was on their actual birthday. They spent the day at COSI with Aunt Katie and Nana and then we went out to dinner with Nonno. Fun day!
